We purchased 2 major appliances on Oct 31. Because of the weather they were not delivered until Nov 17th. I noticed there was a price change and chat online with customer services. They told me I was getting the price change and I assumed they were telling me the truth. When we got the first statement around Dec 5th, it had the original prices.
The FedEx driver decided to drop off his deliveries into a common stairwell in one of the buildings and did not inform the apartment management. Needless to say, our order never made it to us. We called Home Depot to inform them we never received the package and that the delivery driver had even admitted that he'd left them in a stairwell. Even though FedEx is in the wrong here, Home Depot has decided to put the customer in the middle of the dispute. I am trying to reach someone at the Home Depot Store #1005.
I am not sure how you attract a new customer but I am pretty sure this is not the way. I am in the retail world but would never give this kind of customer service. I am a manager for Bass Pro Shops and as a manager, I am always available. Probably will not return to support your company. I have been in contact with the local Home Depot store; the carpet installation contractors; the regional Home Depot office about this problem. I’ve filed a formal complaint with Home Depot.

Got excellent service from Chris in Kelowna Home Depot to book a contractor for a shower install. 2nd contractor booked a date then called back to cancel 5 minutes later. The 3rd contractor Harding Services booked a date, never showed, never called. When asked why he didn't show he simply said "sorry couldn't make it, I can book again next week"... I had to travel an hr each way to meet the guy and never bothered to show. Totally unprofessional and no doubt will be another unemployed contractor once the market cools.
